How many tons does it take to bend stainless steel sheet metal?
I'm looking at some small hydraulic presses to bend 1/4" thick sheets of metal. How many tons of pressure does it take to bend 1/4" stainless steel or similar cold-treated steel (like 1018 or 4130)? Thanks!
I'm looking at some small hydraulic presses to bend 1/4" thick sheets of metal.
I'm looking at making simple bends, such as taking a 1/4" thick x 6" wide plate and bending it 90*.
How many tons of pressure does it take to bend 1/4" stainless steel or similar cold-treated steel (like 1018 or 4130)?
are you looking to simply angle it? or rivet it? or what?
