Stainless Steel Griddle
best way to clean a stainless steel flat top griddle that's been sitting for several years.?
the flat top griddle has been sitting in a shed for several years, still works but has surface rust and dirt .( looks like dirt, its brown ) what would the best approach to cleaning it be ? it's an LP griddle. thanks very much
Here's one way....
1) Turn griddle on to medium heat.
2) Combine white vinegar & H2O (1 Jug).
3) Pour on to griddle and let steam "lift" heavy debris and
evaporate
4) Pour canola oil on griddle and use clean grill brick
until a mirror finish is achieved
5) Use a bench dough scraper to remove dirty oil
6) Repeat steps 2-5 if needed
If this isn't enough go to a restaurant supply store and buy a good chemical grill cleaner
