Stainless Steel Double

A dirty grill will more often than not give you bad tasting food, something that you definitely want to avoid especially if you are trying to impress friends with your grilling skills. Using a dirty grill will also give others the impression that you have poor cooking hygiene. This is why you should make it a habit to clean your double burner reversible grill and griddle after every use.
You do not need to give you grill and griddle combo a thorough scrubbing right after every use. As long as they're not choked by pieces of burnt meat and laden with inches of grease, then you can probably give them a brief washing, wipe them dry, and they'll be ready for your next afternoon party.
Here are a few ways to clean up your act, so to speak.
First, if your grill is not coated with any kin of non-stick material like Teflon, make sure that you spray it with a non-sticky spray prior to grilling. This will greatly reduce the clean-up time afterwards.
The grill is often more difficult to clean than the griddle, particularly because the ridges and grooves which tend to collect more grease and other burnt food residue. The first thing that you can do is wrap the whole thing in aluminum, set the grill over the stove for 10 to 15 minutes and allow the particles to loosen up, and then allow it to cool. Once it is cool enough for handling use the crumpled aluminum foil or a brass bristle brush to give the pan a scrub using warm water and detergent. Make sure that you get the grease off. You may also use an abrasive pad in loosening up those particles that are harder to dislodge. For tougher jobs you can wrap the pans in plastic bags, spray them over with oven cleaner and let it sit for a few hours. Afterwards scrub the whole thing and rinse with water. Wipe the water off with paper towels and set it aside.
Now that you are done with the grill you can settle in to the much easier task of cleaning your griddle. Like the grill, you can decrease the need for clean-up afterwards by using a non-stick spray prior to using the griddle. After use, while the griddle is still warm pour water over it to loosen any burnt meat and other cooking residue. If grease is present in the grease trough, use a small amount of cooking oil in the griddle surface instead of water. Use a scraper or a brush to remove the loosened residue from the surface. Rinse continually as you do this until the surface is free of any residue. Do the same with the grease trough. You can also use a mild detergent to aid in the removal of hard to dislodge food residue. Afterwards, wipe the whole thing dry, and it is ready for your next barbeque afternoon.
