does anyone own the simply calphalon cookware set? what do you think of it?

I saw the full set in Marshalls.. I've been wary of Calphalon, the Calphalon Kohl's sells is said to be cheap and the handle gets really hot etc.. But I bought a Simply Calphalon 5qt pan (with the stainless lid) and was wondering if I should take it back.

I've seen recommendations that you should use nonstick for your frying pans etc but then go with stainless for things like sauce pots, dutch ovens etc that don't need that feature as the stainless will last a lot longer (nonstick surfaces eventually rub off)

Any thoughts anyone?? Any really great cooking sets to recommend??

Calphalon is really the best you can hope for. The only thing that i use that isn't calphalon is cast iron. It has been my experience after using these pans some of which are over 20 years old is that there worth twice the money you pay for them. If the handle gets hot use a pan holder that isn't what concerns me. What concerns me is what happens INSIDE the pan. And I can't say enough good things about Calphalon. The calphalon warranty is 1 year for the whole pan and 5 years for the nonstick. There are pads that you can purchase that go inside the pans so that when you stack them they don't scratch up. Those pads are worth the money. Buy them too.
