Quart Stock Pot

I need a subsitute for a dutch oven. Suggestions?
I am going to make a Beef Bourguignonne (a thick, hearty beef stew), but my recipe calls for a 6 to 8 quart dutch oven. I don't own a dutch oven of any size (shame on me, I know.), and my alternatives are a 6 quart ceramic pot and an 8 quart teflon coated stock pot. Which should I used for the desired effect? I'm thinking the ceramic, but am I on the right track?
your on the right track Matthew, This is to made in the oven at like 300 right? If so, I would do that and use some foil. Better yet, go get a dutch oven. I got mine at Sam's club and Ive seen the same one at walmart, I only paid 39.00 I think for it and its one that doesn't need seasoning. Or check Craigs list in your area for one.
