New crockpot/slow cooker?
Hi. I have this Rival 3 Quart Oval Slow Cooker that someone gave me but it seems to cook things way too fast. (My poor roast got burnt after 3 hours.) Even my mom said the same thing when she used it. (And, no, we didn't have it on a high setting.) Can anyone recommend a better slow cooker or at least some advice on why my stuff is being burnt? Winter is coming and I have a hankering for chili and chowder. Thanks!
Yes, I know that you're supposed to add water.
Westbend-catalog number 84626. It's completely reliable. I set it on setting #2 and when I come home after 9 hours the meal is ready and never burns. It includes a bottom wire rack to keep food off the slow cooker and helps administer juices to the meat and vegetables.
