Cleaning a cast iron skillet...?

I have a pre-seasoned cast iron skillet and the instructions that came with it said not to wash it with soap and water; just to scrub it down with a scrub pad and water.

I use cast Iron all the time, occasionally I use salt added to the water and Metal or Plastic scrub pad. I never ever use any thing that resembles a sponge. When I do clean my pans with Soap and water; I use extremely hot water, and rinse well. I always heat my pans to dry them. then I season them again with a tsp of oil rubbed into the inside of the pan with a paper towel
