Frying Pan

how do I precondition my ceramic frying pan?
I just bought a ceramic-top frying pan which advises me to precondition it with a little oil before I use it and regularly thereafter. How exactly is this done? Paper towel and vegetable oil? Do you have to cook it on? Clean it off afterwards?
I know cast iron cooking pans are cured first by using cooking oil and a paper towel. I have never heard about ceramic curing but go ahead and use the oil and set the pan aside for a day or two. Then wipe dry with a paper towel. Better safe than sorry!
