What are the best pots and pans? Any professional chefs out there?

I'm looking at All-Clad right now, but I'm not sure if I should go with the stainless steel, the copper bottom or the non-stick? I cook at home everyday, a lot of times twice a day and sometimes 3 times a day so I need something that will stand up to that kind of cooking. A friend recommended the non-stick, but she doesn't cook like I do. Is the copper bottom really worth that much of a price difference from the stainless steel? I'd also consider the le creuset set as well.

Karen L is right, and it depends on what your willing to spend, some sets can be over $500 but there are good sets for $250-300, you want one with a stainless steel outer layer and either a nickel or aluminium full over base, check around Big Lots and Overstocked outlets have them for less, get a full set of buy a reasonable one, and add pieces to your liking.

I have a set from a restaurant supply store, the kind we used in hotels and restaurants, an aluminium set medium weight, if you have one in town compare buying those and see the savings, the work and clean up just like the fancy expensive ones in retail outlets.
